Can you believe this honor on a man born to a cleaning woman and a factory driver? Oh yes Sean (his full name is Thomas Sean) come from modest beginnings there in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh. And he started out doing some jobs that could be described as decidedly working class. Can you imagine if he had remained a coffin polisher. Oh we would have missed out on a star, but we are rather pleased that he had a passion for body building You know our Mr. Bond, placed in Mr. Universe, don't ya?

I adore Sean Connery movies but have to confess that when I met James Bond he was that other fellow, not Sean. Yet I understand those Bond followers who are adamant that Sean is the one true James Bond.

He is such a fabulous and professional actor though that after leaving Bond in the 80's he went on to achieve awesome superstar status. Now Untouchables was definitely in my time, so too Hunt for Red October, Entrapment and of course Indiana Jones. But did you know that while Sean was doing Bond he was acting in other movies like Alfred Hitchcock's Marnie?
